Biography
I have been using clay as an artistic medium for over 18 years.
I am mostly self-trained and have attended many workshops and
classes. When I first started working with clay I had the opportunity
to learn from "cartooning in clay" artist Bob Murray. His humorous
figures still inspire me to this day. Growing up I always looked
forward to my issue of "Mad" magazine coming in the mail. I am
also a huge fan of "The Far Side" cartoon by Gary Larson.

Artists Statement
When sitting down to the monumental task of writing my artists statement,
I first came up with the single statement "please, please, please
buy my art". This seems a little on the needy side (note to self;
therapy not working).
I would like to say that I am continually fascinated with the human
face and expression. How can our face be composed of the same basic
components and yet, we all look so different? I am amazed at how
just a lift of an eyebrow or a slight downturn at the corner of
the mouth changes the entire face.
I still like my original idea; however, I would change it slightly.
"Please, please, please buy my art, so I can continue doing what
I love!"
